I miss Sunday breakfast outings with parents

just had my dinner at the same old PGP food court AGAIN…
i am not trying to be ungrateful here
as many people out there are dying because of hunger every second

we took such a long time to decide what to eat
“what to eat?’
“dunno…”
5 minutes later..
“what to eat arr??”
’still dunno..”
10 minutes later..
“what are you going to eat?”
“i think i will go take a walk to decide…”
“but you walk along those stalls everyday!!!”

please don’t remind me of NUS food…
that thought makes me wanna **** (puke, mind you!)

Ipoh food….
i miss you…
come to me ..
come to me..

Sunday breakfast outings are the best
especially when my parents are the ones paying the bill
ngek ngek..

MING COURT DIM SUM!!

slurrpps… glutinuos rice with mushroom..

Siu mai!!

egg tarts…my all time favourite

Har gao! loving it.. i love prawns!

prawns filling again!

fa sang wu (peanut dessert) and black sesame…as desserts

i never mind waking up early on sundays for breakfast..
can’t wait! can’t wait!

S.A.N.O- Healthy Vegetarian Fast Food Restaurant

i know i have not been updating my blog
exams are over!!! yay!! *cheers*
i took one module this semester
TR2201-entrepreneurial marketing
seriously, i would say the module is FUN!!
the group members i worked with was great people
although i hate group projects, so far..this is the best group project i have ever done in NUS
our business idea was a healthy vegetarian fast food restaurant
yup! u got me rite!
there is still not yet one in Singapore currently
thats why we came up with this idea
i think we made a good team
we have a vegetarian with us, a photographer, hawker stalls owner, an AMWAY silver producer, a soon-to-be stemcell researcher….not bad huh?
on the day of our presentation
we even cooked and prepared our very own vegetarian fast food to let the class and lecturer to try
here are some of items we had in our menu of the fast food restaurant
every single display in here, we actually cooked and made them ourselves
not bad uh?

Lentil Burger

Mushroom Burger

BBQ Tofu Burger

Falafel Burger

Linguine Red Bell Pepper

Fettuccine Alfredo

Bistro Laurent Tourondel

it was a memorable journey with my team mates
im glad i bidded for this module

Kopitiam@Tiong Bahru Plaza

if u were to go shop for grocery as well as having some nice food,
Tiong Bahru Plaza is not a bad choice
there is NTUC for u to shop for groceries
also, many food outlets for u to choose from
i had my sushi buffet at sakae sushi in Tiong Bahru Plaza

that day, i wanted to go out for dinner
anywhere, as long as it is out of NUS
damn bored with NUS food, especially PGP food
went to Tiong Bahru Plaza
walked the whole plaza to decide on what to eat
haha
coz there was too many to choose from
in order to suit everyone’s taste buds
finally, we settled our dinner in the foodcourt, Kopitiam
reasonable prices with not-bad food

i myself ordered the curry pork rice
it served with a bowl of soup
delicious!!

there was also, vegetarian prawn mee

vegetarian deep-fried mee with gravy

dessert!!!
ordered the Mango Ice with Mango Flavour Ice Cream topping
Superb!

last but not the least,
Red Bean Ice Kacang

IMM trip

i went to IMM shopping mall a few weeks back
coz all of a sudden i found out that i have $50 voucher from Singtel unused
luckily i found out about it soon enough
the expire date was just a few days after that
i got the $50 voucher when i first signed up the handphone line from Singtel
i can take WHATEVER i want from the Royal Sports House
ngek ngek
despite the fact that no matter what i choose, it is still gonna be free of charge
i took a whole hour in the shop
looking out for one thing that i truly like before deciding
haha
FINALLY, i took a Jansport Bag
dunno whether it is the best choice or not
but i cant stay in the shop anymore longer lar
the staff there have been eyeing me for quite sometime
haha

after that, i went for my lunch
can’t really decide on what to do eat
coz there are too many foodcourts, cafes, fastfood restaurant around
then i decided to explore a bit by trying something new
so , i went to BAGUS foodcourt
a small foodcourt located at a corner
cant remember what level it was, sorry…
inside, there are different food stalls like,
malay food, japanese food, rojak, popiah, thai food, etc

so called ‘ Penang Laksa’
the taste was just so so

Tom Yam Soup
the taste was good
Recommended!

Honey Dew Ice
not bad

i went for a walk around IMM shopping mall after my lunch
good for digestion
hehe
then, i bumped into a Kids Dress-alike Contest
the contest was about kids dressing like their favourite cartoons charactor or fairy tales characters
i saw Spongebob Squarepans, Little Mermaid, Little Red Ridding Hood, Batman, Barbie, Snow White and many more
the kids were adorable
Little Mermaid and Little Red Ridding Hood were my favourites

Little Mermaid. very pretty and sweet rite??

Little Red Ridding Hood. very very cute isnt it?

i miss my childhood…

K Gourmet

People who are staying in the Prince George’s Park Hostel should know that
the food sold in both foodcourts are oily and um..not not tasty
well, it is a sad thing.. coz i came from Ipoh, the place where u can find all sorts of GOOD food
being pampered with GOOD food in ipoh for almost 20 years
it was hard to adjust myself to the food here

we were lucky when there is a newly open cafe, K Gourmet in PGP hostel
it is air conditioned, the ambience is not too bad
although the food there is more expensive compared with both the foodcourts
the portion they served is big and the taste is not bad too
we went for a few visits already
we have actually say if we were to have a light lunch
we might get to splurge a bit for dinner in K Gourmet
the cafe serves mostly western food like chicken chops, cakes, salads, sandwiches, etc
suitable for me coz most of the time i would rather have sandwiches than rice with veggie

chicken chop with mashpotato

chicken cutlet

fish and chips

with every maindish u ordered above, u will get a free mushroom soup. not bad uh?

veggie pizza

potato salad (strongly not recommended)

for those who wans a light lunch or light dinner, the sandwiches there are not bad. this is Tuna sandwich. they also have turkey roll, egg sandwich, etc.

overall, this cafe is recommended. especially for those staying in PGP permanently…

We went to my long awaited Sushi Buffet on Valentine’s Day
it costs only $16 and i feel that it is really worth it
coz u can eat as much as u want!

this is the hot water supply. self service to refill ur own green tea.

softshell crab roll. i ate 3!!! it is super yummy

deep fried tempura roll. sorry for the blur picture

the supervisor actually had to collect the plates again and again from our table
coz it kept piling up

time to save more money to go for the second visit. hehe…

Pre Chinese New Year Celebration

although Chinese New Year had jst ended
i shall never forget how nice it was for Meng Tat, Susan and Shadow
to have a ‘reunion dinner’ with me before they left Singapore to Malaysia for Chinese New Year
yea. i was stuck in my damn room during the CNY

we went to Tiong Bahru Plaza
at first, we wanted to go for Sushi Buffet
sadly, not available…
then we went to this Japanese Noodle shop
itz speciality are those spicy noodles
the level of spice was rated in the menu
u can also ‘upgrade’ the amount of the spice for ur noodle
there was one noodle called’ bloody hell’
ooo…sounds spicy uh??

the saddest case was…
i was having gastric pain
coz we waited for quite long b4 we reached the plaza
so by the time i reached there, the pain started
i cleverly ate the spicy noodles
‘gastric pain + spicy noodles’
WALAO!!
the pain was unbearable !!!!
i nearly fainted
thank GOD 3 of them were there
Meng Tat babysitted me in Mcd while i quietly drank Milo to ease my pain
while Susan and Shadow went to NTUC to buy groceries for me to last a week
although the gastric part was very the bad
i still had lotz of FUN!!!
thanks guys!!!
i really appreciate it.
