Cry On My Shoulder

If the hero never comes to you
If you need someone you’re feeling blue
If you’re away from love and you’re alone
If you call your friends and nobody’s home
You can run away but you can’t hide
Through a storm and through a lonely night
Then I show you there’s a destiny
The best things in life
They’re free

But if you wanna cry
Cry on my shoulder
If you need someone who cares for you
If you’re feeling sad your heart gets colder
Yes I show you what real love can do

If your sky is grey oh let me know
There’s a place in heaven where we’ll go
If heaven is a million years away
Oh just call me and I make your day
When the nights are getting cold and blue
When the days are getting hard for you
I will always stay here by your side
I promise you I’ll never hide

What real love can do
What love can do
What real love can do
What love can do
What real love can do
What love can do

Being Skinny

Most people will come to a point where you do not wish people to regard you as being ‘ Cute ‘ anymore for your above-21-age.

There is also a point when you struggle to reduce your weight, so that you can join the bandwagon of being ‘ skinny = sexy ‘.

There are also times when you console yourself that, no matter what size you are in, as long as you dress well, feel good about your body, you can be sexy as well.

There are also moments when you look at the mirror chanting to yourself that the size of your bra does not matter as much at all and still feel good about yourself.

I wonder how high of the confidence level is needed to not doubt yourself every single day.

The sad thing to know is that, Ali Michael,17 years old, a supermodel, is being kicked out of Paris Fashion Show because her thighs are deemed as ‘too fat’.

Gosh! What kind of message is the fashion industry sending out to the teenage girls out there?
Even for us, most would feel that being a bit on the more ‘fleshy’ side is a big No-No.

*rolled eyes*
‘ Whatever!’

Worst thing to happen on a Sunday

Bimbo sent me a song by Bon Jovi
(You want to) make a memory

Hello again, it’s you and me
Kinda always like it used to be
Sippin’ wine, killing time
Trying to solve life’s mysteries.
How’s your life, it’s been a while
God it’s good to see you smile
I see you reaching for your keys
Looking for a reason not to leave.

If you don’t know if you should stay
If you don’t say what’s on your mind
Baby just, breathe there’s no where else tonight we should be-
You wanna make a memory.

I dug up this old photograph
Look at all that hair we had
It’s bittersweet to hear you laugh
Your phone is ringing, I don’t wanna ask.

If you go now, I’ll understand
If you stay, hey, I got a plan
You wanna make a memory
You wanna steal a piece of time
You could sing a melody to me
And I could write a couple lines
You wanna make a memory.

If you don’t know if you should stay
And you don’t say what’s on your mind
Baby just, breathe there’s no where else tonight we should be-
You wanna make a memory
You wanna steal a piece of time
You could sing a melody to me
And I could write a couple lines
You wanna make a memory
You wanna make a memory

This is the only song i have been listening throughout today
and get all emo-ed
the lyrics do not even relate to me
yet, i got all emo-ed on a Sunday, which should be well- spent revising for my midterm test on Wednesday.
so much about self-disciplined.

Hair extensions

I was almost convinced to get long hair extensions by Bimbo
It was so tempting
I miss my long straight Ju-On hair
Until I knocked some sense into myself
‘ I can grow my own hair wert…’
haha…

so, in the end, I had my first experience trying out on hair extensions
only 7 strands though but they are in RED.
woohoo!

still, I have not got used to the fact that I have foreign objects sticking on to my hair
It was a hassle when I try to wash and comb
I can imagine how frustrated it can be if I were to do it on my whole head
I salute those who are able to ‘tahan’ it.

My Most Kiasu Moment

Oh yes. I think I have obviously been ‘ Singaporeanized’

After the announcement from the lecturer that our textbook costs a whooping 80 bucks Sing Dollar, everyone was preparing to rush to the library once the class ends, aiming to be the first one to lay their hands on the only textbook available.

Proudly to admit, ’someone who shall remain unknown’ and I were the first ones to rush into the library with a few of the other girls following closely behind, trying to win the race

Fortunately, we got hold of the book FIRST! *Proudness to the Max*
and photocopied the ‘relevant chapters’.

I have experienced my most kiasu moment in my NUS life. What an adventure it was.

I *heart* dogs. Yes. even ugly ones.

I have 2 dogs in my house.
Both adopted.
One from my friend, the other was being found seriously injured with a broken leg by my brother along the roadside.
One is an adult already, the other is an old woman now.
One is still perfectly healthy, but refuses to move much because she thinks that she is some pretty princess in a beautiful palace from Lala Land.
The other one is more than half blind, knocking into chairs and tables in the process of jumping around to welcome us.
One is extremely arrogant, as i said, thinking that she is some pretty princess that does not take orders from others, despite the fact that i am the owner.
The other one is extremely in need of love, thinking that she is the unwanted one in the house, worrying that she will be abandoned any moment.
One is Snowy, the other one is Wei Wei.

Some might be curious, how come one is called Snowy, while the other one is being named in such a ‘Cheenah’ way.
It’s because I used to have this dog, given by a friend of my dad’s. It was already named Wei Wei since it was born.
Sadly, it ran out to play one day and never comes back after that.
I miss it very much.
Therefore, when the ‘current’ WeiWei came in, I named her after the ‘previous’ WeiWei.

Ok. that was my house.
Now, it’s my 2nd brother’s turn
He has 2 dogs as well.
Can’t really talk much as I have only seen them once.

As for my eldest brother, he has been so picky with dogs.
Because he said he do not want fur-dropping all over his house. *rollingeyes*
So, finally, he settled down with a schnauzer breed dog, Pepper.
and….SO CUTE! the fur is so nice to caress.

but a bit too hyper for my liking.
so, maybe Snowy, the princess from Lala Land might not be so bad after all.
hehe….

Adulthood

the most trusted one said
‘at time life is like that. you gotta do what you don’t want to do. Don’t think of it as a task then things will be better.’

Master Cheng Yan, from Tzu Chi said
‘ We must carry out our tasks according to principles, not let our principles be compromised by our tasks.’

can you find a balance between the two?
it is difficult. but hey, Welcome to Adulthood!

there are times, we just have to wave off the negative comments we get from others.
it is good to take it as a reference, but do stand tall if we were to feel that we are at no wrong.
there are times, we just have to know when to shut up, because we have no rights to comment on other people’s life based on your own judgment.
there are times, there are more than what we see on the surface, don’t shoot out words on how some people should lead their lives, because what you are observing is so limited that you don’t have the right to even comment.

are you able to do that? i am still learning.
