just simple rules

i don’t understand
don’t understand AT ALL
NUS students…undergraduates.
and yet, can’t simply abide to simple rules

1. Closing the cluster door
- HELLO?! this is the nth time you people have heard about the peeping tom cases lar please. can’t you just at least close the cluster door when you enter or out of the cluster? you are risking the safety of 14 cluster mates to peeping toms and theft cases. seriously, if you girls were to wish peeping toms coming into our cluster to peep you while you are bathing, i would suggest the MA office to let you girls stay in one cluster, where you can open the door as wide as you wish and let the peeping toms to visit whenever they feel like doing so. coz i can’t even feel relax while i take my bath, fearing the moment any of these people not closing the door again. can you imagine you have looked up all the time while you are bathing? NUS not stressed enough issit?

2. Throwing your own rubbish
- you think your cluster kitchen is your house kitchen? waiting for your mum to throw your rubbish for you? can you at least have some consideration for the cleaning aunties? do you know how many clusters they have cleaned everyday from day to night? lighten their burden a bit by just throwing your bag of rubbish and not just leave it on the floor and expect them to throw for you. if you think throwing your rubbish will dirty your precious hands, don’t create rubbish then!

3. no shampoos and body shampoos or what so ever in the bathroom.
- i seriously do not know how long ago i have posted the notice on that particular bathroom door. do not place your shampoos and body shampoos in the bathroom floor. don’t understand English? i believe those are simple words, simple enough for an undergraduate to understand. and yet, they leave their things there EVERYDAY. and the aunty has to pick them up EVERYDAY just to clean the bathroom. imagine your mum being the cleaning aunty, bending for like how many times in a day to pick up things of yours just because you ignore the notice that you see EVERYTIME you bathe!!

4. throwing exposed food in the toilet rubbish bin
- if you can’t finish your food, i don’t blame you, throw in the kitchen rubbish bin can?! because of your selfishness, the toilet stinks everyday with smelly food. and everyone in the cluster knows what you eat everyday for every meal. and when the aunty does not come during weekends, we have to smell everything in a go of what you eat on friday, saturday and sunday!!!

very very pissed now. it’s a shame for you people to be in NUS because simple rules you people can’t follow. rules that make sense from head to toe. still it does not enter your HEAD! leaving in a cluster is a communal living. you can’t just be so selfish by treating as if you own the cluster. *SIGH*

-speechless-

Bali Trip (2nd day Part II)

No. My finals have not ended yet.
No. I have not finished studying yet.
but..it is very rare that I have the motivation to actually post about my Bali trip
so, before the motivation is gone. I better continue with where I have stopped.
in the last post, i mentioned that we went for lunch on top of the mountain, next to the volcano.
with such nice view, of course we went for sight-seeing
still at the mountain, still around the volcano.

can you imagine when you are trying to enjoy the scenery, many Balinese approached you, like 10 of them, rushing to you, trying to sell their handicrafts? i felt so sorry for them. i mean, we can’t possibly buy from everyone of them. i guess the business is very competitive there. because the tourism industry is the main industry there. if they dont do this, what can they anymore?

next, we went down the mountain and headed to one of the temples to pray pray and drink their ‘Holy’ water. it is said that after drinking the water, you will be able to look young. the tour guide said that he is one of the good examples, despite him being 40 something years old, married with 3 kids. o.O !!! i thought he is only in his late 20s!!!!

that is me, with the Holy water.

IMG_2311
as you can see that i wrapped myself with a red cloth, because we are not supposed to wear shorts in the temple.

the art gallery was the next destination.
i was overwhelmed with the amount of paintings
it is like 3 big big houses connected to each other
the bad side was, we are not allowed to take any pictures inside.
therefore, i was only able to snap a few outside of the art gallery.

we spent quite a great amount of time in the gallery, savouring every pieces of paintings
if you were to worry about how to bring the huge painting back by plane, no worries
they can take out the painting from the frame and roll them into a scroll for your convenience
most of the paintings were oil paintings, the man even demostrated the quality of the paintings by splashing water with it.
if i were to have the money to own my house one day, i would also love to have paintings around my house.

excuse me for the amount of food we consumed in Bali. hehe.
because we went for food AGAIN after visiting the art gallery.
we went to taste the oh-so-famous deepfried duck, i forgot the name already

IMG_2329
do not judge a duck by the name of the restaurant

IMG_2330

IMG_2333
the ambience was awesome. after a long day of walking and travelling, it is so relaxing to sit down and enjoy the nice ambience of the restaurant. although there were no fans in the restaurant at all, we actually do not feel the heat. how amazing.

IMG_2338
no doubt. the deep-fried duck dish was awesome. anyone travelling to Bali, a must-try dish.

then, the continue with our schedule by heading to visit a pure Balinese house.

IMG_2347
have you noticed all the entrance in Bali has the same design? which is a normal looking door split into half? it seems it has no particular reason, just a design wor.

IMG_2349

every child has a small hut of their own in their house. meaning, the small huts are not connected. which is to say, their house is like a small neighbourhood. when i said small hut, meaning it is really small. it is around the size of the room in PGP.

IMG_2366
those are some of the animals i saw inside the house. sorry, i just had to post them up. =P

IMG_2350
this is where they pray.

IMG_2367

guess what? after the Balinese house visit, we went for our dinner. (FOOD AGAIN??!!)
haha..

IMG_2383
it is just the same old food provided in the travelling package. it was hard to consume that we tapau back as supper.

both me and my dad travelled back to our hotel, while my mum, my sister-in-law and brother went for their massage.

Random Post

There has been a recent news on the largest mass shooting in the USA at Virginia Tech, where around 33 people were killed
sometimes, it makes you wonder, ‘ what makes those people wanting to shoot others and kill ownself after that?’
was it the pressure in school? or what?
if Singapore were to be as democratic as USA, people are free to buy weapons as they wish to
there is a high possbility of mass shooting in NUS too.
don’t you think so?

talking about NUS, the hostel that we are staying, PGP, is totally scary
can you imagine someone is killed there and no one willl find out one day until it has started to smell?
or what if someone committed suicide there because of the pressure in school?
has all these issues surfaced in their mind before those people actually build it?
and also, not giving CCA points to the PGP residents and expect us to join the clubs and societies in schools?
while they have already been dominated by others??
*angry*
