shall i go or shall i not?

NUS is having a blood donation drive in Multi Purpose Hall these few days
I have always wanted to donate blood
however…I am scared..
yea. called me coward..
not that I am afraid of blood ok..??
just that, it seems scary to see yourself lying down with blood flowing out of your vessels into a huge bag
and you can see the bag is getting fuller and fuller with YOUR BLOOD!!!
it is scary lar!!!
i remember last time when i was in secondary school
we had a blood test or something in school
everyone is supposed to draw out a small tube of blood to be tested for watever it was
seriously, i was not scared at that moment.
however, the girl in front of me was so nervous about the whole blood testing thingy
her face was damn pale
can see that she was damn scared lor
then hor…
guess what
when it was her turn
SHE FAINTED!!!!
she was then being taken away
and it was MY TURN!!!
gosh!
i was like *gulp*

sigh…how how how
shall i go or shall i not??
is it painful??
will i get dizzy??
i am scared…seriously…
i know i am being useless here
and..
i heard that after donating blood
one will put on weight!!!
IS IT SO???!!!!
don scare me wei
sigh…
one more reason pull out rite?
*guilty*

sobs sobs..
i really want to go for it..
but but but……………….

  1. At least you can still donate blood.. See..donating blood is a privilage not everyone has. Don’t be afraid but to think of the fact that you get to do something meaningful, and that your blood will give life to another person who needs it. Don’t think of your blood draining from your body into the bag, think of the life flowing into another person who needs your blood. All the best! You can do this, mei yoke! =)
